Joe De Angelis is a New York City–based Photographer, Director, and DP whose sets are as known for their atmosphere as they are for the work that comes out of them. He operates on a simple belief: the best imagery happens when people feel safe enough to take risks. So before he's thinking about light or lens, Joe is reading the room—finding the fastest way to put a subject, client, or crew at ease so the real work can begin.

That instinct shows up in the results. Joe's background spans photography, directing, and DP work, giving him a rare fluency across every stage of production—he can shoot, light, and direct with equal command, and he writes and directs his own narrative films and commercials on the side. But the technical range is only half the story. What clients consistently point to is the experience of working with him: sets that feel collaborative rather than clinical, talent that relaxes instead of performs, and a creative process where good ideas are welcome from anywhere in the room.
